CR’s Restaurant, a family-owned business for 30 years, is comfortably one of the top five restaurants on the 20-mile New Hampshire Seacoast. Based on multiple visits, our editors are hard pressed to say that we like it more for its eclectic decor (a hint of Europe with a hunting lodge accent), or for the fine dinners we’ve enjoyed there, but we are confident enough to say that the steaks we’ve consumed at CR’s have been as consistently good as any in the entire State of New Hampshire. (Other recommendations would include the very large shrimp cocktail and bread pudding.)
CR’s Restaurant is located at the outskirts of Hampton, about a minute off Interstate 95, and an easy, six-minute drive on NH 101 directly to Exit 13 from Hampton Beach … turn left at the top of the ramp and you’re ten seconds from the parking lot, or turn right if you’re exiting off I-95 or eastbound on NH 101). Notwithstanding the white tablecloths and fine-dining options, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the menu also features a variety of classic American dishes including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and seafood. CR’s Restaurant also has a full bar with a very good selection of beers, wines, and cocktails, and a large outdoor patio for al fresco dining in season. The well-scrubbed staff has always been friendly and professional.
CR’s Restaurant also features live music every Thursday and Friday from 6:00pm.
