Real Cajun Cuisine at North of NOLA, on D Street, half a block from the sand.

The restaurant is a half block off Ocean Boulevard (MAP), across D Street from the Casino Ballroom, just steps away from the sand, and as far as our editors know, it is the only Cajun restaurant within 25 miles of Hampton Beach.

Visit New Hampshire’s editors visited the restaurant on opening night, and many evenings thereafter, and have been more than happy with the menu, the presentation, the staff, the ambiance and the overall experience.

North of NOLA’s chef/owner trained under Paul Prudhomme at the legendary K Paul’s Restaurant in the New Orleans French Quarter.  His Jambalaya and Shrimp Creole were particular standouts, and we have enjoyed the Seafood Gumbo and Blackened Haddock Creole (pictured at right) as well.

The friendly krewe has been familiar with all the menu items and has seemed to be working efficiently and effectively together.

North of NOLA is open daily for a uniquely New Orleans-style  breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner, 8:00am to 8:00pm.

North of NOLA, and its authentic Cajun cuisine, are a welcome addition to the Hampton Beach restaurant scene. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
