The Hampton House
Hampton Beach’s, 51-room, Hampton House Hotel, a clean, continuously updated, three-star, year-round property, pictured above, is located directly on Hampton Beach, just steps from the sand, far enough from the shoulder-to-shoulder summertime crowds that gather around the Casino and Seashell Stage bandshell to watch the Wednesday night fireworks, but close enough to be one of the prime Hampton Beach fireworks viewing locations on the Boulevard. The impressive weekly fireworks draw large crowds of spectators, on land, of course, and from party boats moored offshore for the evening, and are always clearly visible from the Hampton House’s oceanfront and south-facing ocean-view guestrooms, from which they seem to be bursting directly overhead.
Virtually all guestrooms have ocean views, and are nicely furnished with modern bathrooms. The hotel’s balconied beachfront rooms have wonderful, broad views of the beach and the ocean, all the way to the Isles of Shoals and Cape Ann. The south-facing ocean-view rooms have nice views of the beach, the bandshell and especially the impressive Wednesday night fireworks.
The fireworks are almost directly overhead, in season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The north-facing rooms do have ocean views though not quite as panoramic.
All rooms are large and nicely furnished with two double beds and modern bathrooms.
The separate, street-level bakery and café, Blue Ocean Coffee, serves breakfast and lunch until 2:00pm, but there are many other, too numerous to mention, easily walkable breakfast, lunch and dinner options just moments away.
There is on-site parking, mostly covered, for one car per room. Additional paid parking is available directly across the street, steps from the hotel lobby.
