Ernie’s Seaside Restaurant
Ernie’s Seaside is a casual, family-friendly, seafood restaurant with spectacular views of the lobster and deep-sea fishing boats moored in Hampton Harbor, extensively renovated, and reopened under new ownership with an award-winning new chef. Ernie’s menu features mussels, crab cakes, fried, broiled or baked haddock, fried scallops, and sandwiches including lobster rolls, and burgers prepared with obvious care. Formerly Castaway’s, Ernie’s has a large, nicely renovated interior dining room with a maritime décor, and harbor views from most tables (at right), as well as multi-level decks with restaurant seating, an open-air bar, and sweeping water and beach views, especially at dinnertime as the sun is setting on the western horizon.
Ernie’s is located next door to the Eastman Fishing Docks (MAP), just across the Hampton Harbor drawbridge from Hampton Beach State Park, and its two large decks are conspicuously visible, off to the right, from southbound vehicles driving from Hampton Beach into Seabrook.
The staff is experienced and friendly, with a number of holdovers from Castaways, who seem more than happy to be in the new environment.
Ernie’s has Its own paved, on-site parking lot (with overflow parking available just a few steps down the beach). Ernie’s Seaside is open from 11:00am to 10:00pm, daily, except closed on Tuesdays.
